• No person will be admitted in a prison as a prisoner unless accompanied by proper warrant signed by competent authority.
  • A separate warrant shall be received for every prisoner even though two or more prisoners have been jointly charged.
  • Officer in charge shall satisfy himself that the person produced is the person referred in the warrant.
  • If a warrant is incomplete or incorrect, the warrant shall be returned for correction to the issuing court for rectification, retaining one copy for reference.
  • The property received with the prisoner shall be carefully examined and shown to the prisoner at the time of admission and get the acknowledgement in the Prisoners Cash Property Register maintained for the purpose.
  • Prisoners on admission are being searched by the prison officials so as to taken away the contraband articles with due regard to decency and with reasonable privacy.
  • Female prisoners are searched by female staff only.
  • In central prisons, all prisoners admitted in Jail are being Medically examined.
